The second in Nintendo's party game series is coming out in North America on December 20.
Mario Party 2 is coming to Virtual Console in North America on December 20, according to Nintendo of America's Twitter.
The tweet reads: "Holiday Treat: You’re hearing it here on Twitter first! Mario Party 2 (N64) will be available for Wii via the Virtual Console on Dec. 20!"
Mario Party 2, which will be available for 1,000 Wii Points ($10), will be the first Nintendo 64 game since Mario Tennis in June, and only the twentieth Nintendo 64 title on Virtual Console in North America. The game came out on Japan's Virtual Console service in November, and it's coming to Europe on December 24.
The title, which originally released in North America in 2000, featured several new additions to the formula introduced by its predecessor. 43 new mini-games were added, and the majority of those featured in the original were included and updated. It was also the first title to allow players practice each mini-game before they played it.
