Two Tribes announces new games and is looking to hire new staff

HARDERWIJK, The Netherlands, November 24th 2004: Two Tribes, the Dutch game developer behind Capcom's Toki Tori, announces its involvement in two new game projects: Worms World Party and Three Tribes. Furthermore, Two Tribes is looking for new talents to join the company.

WORMS WORLD PARTY

First out of the gate will be THQ Wireless' Worms World Party, which is developed for the Nokia N-Gage game deck. Converted from the popular PC original, Worms World Party features globally appealing humor, habit-forming multiplayer match-ups, and a myriad of game options to keep you coming back for more. "Developed in cooperation with US-based Paragon5, Sweden-based Synergenix and Netherlands-based CodeGlue, it represents a truly global effort to bring the Worms universe to gamers all over the world." says Collin van Ginkel, managing director at Two Tribes.

THREE TRIBES

"Three Tribes is the project name for our latest original game title. It is designed for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS systems." says Martijn Reuvers, project manager at Two Tribes. "Born out of our desire to create something unique and playable for portable devices, it represents the efforts of countless hours debating, programming and creating content."

At its core, Three Tribes is an action/puzzle game designed for all ages. The player will take on the role of the village Shaman, who helps the other natives as much as he can. The game world is designed to be as open as possible, motivating players to find their own solutions instead of forcing it on them. Using custom technology, specifically designed for Three Tribes, the game offers players a huge amount of freedom. You can walk, jump, float or fly to wherever you want.

Why was i hoping this would in someway be related to the "Tribes" PC game?

Eh, it was worth a shot.

VideoGamerJNovember 26, 2004

Same here.

Hehe...that was a good song.
For those of you that don't know, he's referring to Two Tribes by Frankie Goes to Hollywood (when two tribes go to war...)
If you weren't listening to music in the 80's you probably know it from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (it's on Wave 103).
