Does anybody rent games online?  Is it a good deal? Who do you rent them from? Thanks.

Is it even possible to do so?  It'd be pretty weird getting a game by mail then having to ship it back.

Renting DVDs online has actually become quite popular. Wal-Mart even jumped on the band-wagon recently. I'm not sure whether renting games online is catching on though. I've seen a few sites that offer it but I'm too chicken to try them. Especially since they often say it CAN take up to five days to ship the games depending on where you live. Between the five days for the games to arrive, the five days to send them back, and the five days for the new ones to arrive . . . well, there went half the month. I'm sure availability is an issue too. The most popular games probably spend most of their time rented out. All the games must be scratched up too. Also, you probably need a credit card to sign up for the service.

This is possible? How does it work you order a game off the internet, it comes to your house, you play it and send it back? What if someone steals a game...man people are lazy why not just open a video store.

You'd probably get charged the price of the game and some hefty fees. You need a credit card to sign up, so it's not like they won't know who you are if you think about ripping them off. The added advantages of renting online is selection as well as cost, especially if you rent a lot. If you live in a small city like i do, most rental places won't have a good selection of Gamecube games, which makes it all the more attractive to rent online. Some places rent imports as well.
