Hmmph... What's that in the bargain bin?  Shinobi and Nano Assault for $10 (per game)?  Sold.

Not enough people sing the praises of Shinobi.   So, so so good.   Nano Assault is an OBVIOUSLY good game, but Shinobi.....when you put 20 hours into what would otherwise be a 4 hour action game, you know that that game is superb.

Oh yeah, I know I have 2 sealed copies of that game.   1 is for trading.  But people who collect Amiibos?  They really have a problem!

Oh, I forgot the reason I looked up this thread:

Steam Sale, still ongoing:

Sega Genesis and Mega Drive Classics Packs 1 through 5
Broken Sword 1, 2
Darksiders 1, 2
Sine Mora
To The Moon
Wizorb
Jet Set Radio
Quantum Conundrum

Of these purchases, I have very low expectations for Quantum, especially since I didn't like Portal 2 too much.

Soma Bringer.

As I mentioned on Twitter, wish me luck. I know a small bit of Japanese, and this game is more than likely going to push me to learn even more. Yes, I realise it's a 2009 DS title, but I couldn't take waiting any longer (not that Nintendo is going to localise a DS title at this point). So yep. Soma Bringer. Can't wait to play it.
I like Nintendo more than j00!

Valkyria Chronicles 2 dropped to $20 on the PSN shop.  Not exactly a deal... but for a game that I've really wanted, the price is reasonable enough.

Unfortunately, I also got taken by some of the PSN sales because prices looked good. Bought two PS Minis for $1 each. BreakQuest is... ok. There is enough diversity to make it worth trying, despite mediocre controls and fairly random play. The game is probably worth the dollar that I paid, which is more than can be said for N.O.V.A. This game isn't worth wasting your time on at any price.

Frankly, I wish I had my $2 back from those last two.

Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed for the Wii U via digital download, baby!

I found it amusing that the download process warned multiple times that if you bought a standard edition Wii U, you would require a removable hard drive to download (sold separately). Lol.

I haven't posted in here in awhile since I haven't bought anything too unusual, but today I scored a disc-only copy of Kirby's Air Ride.  This is the fourth copy for me - yay!  Sadly, I'm out of my spare 2-disc GameCube cases, so I had to order some of those too...

From this week:

I completely forgot Anarchy Reigns came out in the US last week. It's only $30 too. It should be $20 or less in no time. I want to get a little further (or complete) Lollipop Chainsaw before I pick up another PS3 title.

I bought Hydroventure: Spin Cycle on the Nintendo 3DS eShop 2 or 3 weeks ago. Like it a lot, it's a very unique game. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try out new gameplay styles with a twist! ;)

LET'S GET WEIRD

N.U.D.E. is something like Seaman; you talk to this robot girl (with a mic) and try to get her to act like a human or whatever.

Now, this arcade stick was in a shop and marked as junk for 15 bucks. It's more than worth that in parts so I snagged it. But, maybe I can fix it? Stay tuned~!

(S-U-P-E-R: Nice score on the Blazblue stick. Even if it can't be fixed, the parts alone make it a great buy.)

My latest game is Half Minute Hero on the PSP. And it's fantastic! Great fun if you like old-school RPGs or cute puzzle games. Easy to pick up and play in short bursts as easy level should take only a couple minutes (or less) to plow through. Some levels are kind of puzzle-like with limited replay value, but others offer multiple paths and some interesting experimentation. In-game achievements and target times to add further replay value. Oh yeah... and that's not even mentioning that there are other game modes where you can play as the princess or evil dark lord.

For $10 from the PSN store, this game is incredibly easy to recommend. At least try the free demo if you have the hardware.

Not a purchase since I got these games through trading at www.VGFive.com, but they're new to me so it feels right to mention them here:

Heroes of Ruin (3DS) - I know the reviews are mediocre at best, but the demo seemed fun enough and the promise of online play was very tempting. Barely started playing as other games have my focus... but looking forward to it despite low expectations.

Jurassic Park (NES) - Great memories of this game, but never put significant time into it. Will nostalgia hold out? (A 15 minute play session suggests: "Yes!")

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES) - All the complaints about getting through the dam level come from new-school gamers. That's nothing compared to the Technodrome level. Another nostalgic favorite, although I've never actually finished this game.

Rhythm Heaven Fever (Wii) - The DS game really didn't go over well here, and was one of my most disappointing experiences over the last year or two.  So I'm kind of nervous about this one... but it gets high praise from a lot of people so seemed worth taking a risk with.  Hasn't arrived yet but is in the mail now.

SUPER: Skittles is all it takes to bribe you?  I could trade you some Skittles for Professor Layton Chocolate. :D

Here's my most recent "gaming" purchase...

It was $10.  1982 Sony Trinitron KV-5300.  Trying to charge the battery now to see if that still works.

This thing is AWESOME.  The picture quality is *great*.  It weighs about a billion pounds, has a screen slightly larger than my phone and is just overall huge.

I couldn't finish Final Fantasy 1 until I got a little TV like that in my room to play it away from the prying eyes of save-file-erasing younger siblings.
