The removal of Navi Trackers from the North American release is why I didn't buy the game until I found it used for $15, and why I'm glad it underperformed and is the worst selling Zelda of all time. Nintendo doesn't deserve to be rewarded for screwing over all North American Zelda fans like that. Removing entire features from games because a company is too f*cking lazy to translate is inexcusable, especially when North America is where the overwhelming majority of the Zelda fanbase is.
Of course getting my anger out of the way, the actual Adventure mode in the game is f*cking amazing and probably my favorite 2D Zelda game, and yes I played it in just single player which show everyone that the game is great alone as well. Even though the game is linear, the level design is top notch, with the most creative dungeons in 2D Zelda's. Plus the combat was great with tons of enemies filling the screen and great boss fights.
So yeah, Four Swords Adventures basically represents Nintendo at their worst and best. It shows how Nintendo has no problem screwing over all non-Japanese fans just to make a quick buck, but the main adventure mode shows how great Nintendo's game designers can be at making an incredible game.
