Zoids
« on: October 14, 2004, 06:17:25 AM »
Just wondering if anyone had played the new Zoids game?  It kind of crept up on America, b/c one day I just saw it at the store, and I never heard anything about it...is it any good?  Thanks in advance.

Popular license = guilty until proven innocent. Don't buy it until you hear a recommendation.
Game Rankings has two GC Zoids titles listed, one was reviewed as "sucks" from a single source, the other has no reviews at all. Presume "sucks" until you hear good things.

This game is really under the radar since atari showed no support for this title except for the 29.99 price tag.

I think Atari is the lesser problem here, a game that plain out sucks won't go on any radar except maybe that of a Patriot air defense system. Or have you played it and can offer a tumbs-up?

Well KDR look how much atari showed support for enter the matrix and its crappy blandness. My friend said zoids was above average and its customization was okay. I think its really for the Zoids fanbase.

The first zoids games for GC was never released in the US so I doubt the second one will either.

Nevermind I guess Atari picked it up for the US release (the review is in Nintendo's Power).  46% from them.

Lord: Honestly, do you think there's any way they could have hyped up a Zoids game in the same way as the Matrix game? "exclusive footage that ties directly into the main storyline"?

Well KDR they could of target this game to the Armored Core, Custom Robo, Gotcha Force and Zoids fanbase  so it isnt really farfetched. Im mentioning AC, CR and GF because Zoids for cube also has customization. And its the first Cube game made by TOMY to be released in US shores.  They atleast could of put the traditional ads atari puts out on magazines and/or TV but hey they exactly didnt advertise Ikaruga really which is a damn shame.

I still hope some one publishes the Naruto Cube fighting games in America Atari or Nintendo or someone else I JUST WANT IT LOCALIZED AND RELEASED IN AMERICA.

Well there were 3 seasons of Zoids. Which story would it follow? For that matter which one is it based on?
