Some Japan-only VC games round out the release line-up on the Wii U this week.
Mario Kart 8 arrives on the Wii U this week all over the world. While it’s debatable whether or not Nintendo’s latest cart racer could be the answer to save the system, the game has been getting a lot of praise all around the Internet and is going to be enjoyed by tons of Wii U owners. Aside from that marquee retail title, the Wii U is getting two more entries into the Virtual Console library with the Famicom fighting game from 1993, Joy Mecha Fight, as well as Famicom Tantei Club, also known as Famicom Detective Club. Both games are exclusives to Japan and are also available on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console. Speaking of the 3DS, Nintendo’s handheld has another week light on releases consisting mostly of digital manga. Again, the already impressive Virtual Console goes another week without a release.
